We asked from volunteers the best photo that they have from their participation in an SCI workcamp this year.
We knew that we will receive amazing photos as we know how it is to be part of it. We also knew that would be hard for us to choose.
How can you choose once you know that each photo depicts a valuable moment?

Every September 21st, SCI volunteers, branches and partners celebrate the UN International Day of PeaceEvery workcamp we organise, every workshop, every voluntary experience takes us a step closer to our vision, a world of peace; social justice and sustainable development, where all people live together with mutual respect and without recourse to any form of violence to solve conflict. The theme this year is “The Sustainable Development Goals: Building Blocks for Peace.” And so we invite you to share with us how YOU are creating these building blocks for peace! Visit our Peace Day page to find how you can get involved!

A new face in the International Secretariat. We are delighted to announce that our new EVS volunteer, Carmen Chong from Malaysia has now joined us.

A film has the potential to evoke powerful emotions in the viewer. It is one of the best ways to capture the realities and the injustices of our world. In our modern times it has become a platform used for change. All of the films in this article have inspired masses of people to change there own world and how they treat other people and animals. We hope you enjoy these ground breaking films!

This week we said "see you soon!" to Sathya, our EVS volunteer from India who has been supporting us at the International Secretariat for the past 12 months as part of the project 'Global Volunteer Action'. We want to say a big thank you to him for all the work he did, for his enthusiasm and for the energy he brought. Sathya now returns home to start his masters and we wish him the best of luck! We look forward to seeing him more involved with SCI India, spreading our passion for volunteering and continuing his work with the Tech Team. All the best Sathya!
