SCI received an invitation for presenting our Youth Involvement in Implementing the UN's Sustainable Development Goals at the Asia-Europe Environment Forum Conference organised by the Asia-Europe Foundation in Stockholm between 19-20 October 2016. SCI activists and former Climate for Peace LTV at SCI's International Secretariat, Balázs Kajor took part, representing SCI and speaking about SCI's Climate for Peace Programme.

Our short term EVS Carmen was at Exchange Platform Meeting last week, from 11st to 16th of October in Sweden, to propose positive change for SCI, in order to keep the association update and in line with the times.

From 17th to 22nd of October the Coordinating Committee for International Voluntary Service promoted the Global Human Rights Week, an initiative inside the campaign Raising Peace. In order to contribute and give visibility to the existing challenges, the Human Rights Week had the aim to gather all the actions done to transform the reality and to raiseing awareness on the topic.

 

Would you like to learn for and about peace? Do you want to start facilitating sessions about peace yourself - offline, at workcamps or online? Are you willing to share thoughts about peace with like-minded people from different countries and background? During this PM course you will have the opportunity to learn in an informal way the basics of being a peace-messenger. SCI Peace Messengers are organising a Peace Messengers (PM) online course from 2nd till 30th of November 2016, every Wednesday.

Last week, Angeliki, our EVS volunteer from Greece ended her one year project at the International Secretariat! Angeliki took part in the EVS project Count Me In: Volunteering for a Global Community”! #EVS20
