Youth4Remembrance in Berlin

Training

February 2020

From 31st October to 6th November, I had a chance to participate in an interesting seminar “Youth4Remembrance”. It took place in a suburb of Berlin, where there was no Internet and no any mobile signal, but there was a great group of 25 participants from 10 countries, so I was even glad to take a break from social networks and to enjoy alive communication!

The main idea of this seminar was to help young people to understand history, how to avoid repeating the mistakes of our ancestors, as well as to share existing practices in this matter and to consider new approaches to critical thinking.

This seminar helped me to look at history from a new perspective, I learned a lot of new successful methods and practices which are used to preserve and learn history in different countries. And personally for me the main value of this project was people: their involvement in the process, tolerance, openness, knowledge, skills and incredible experience – inspires me so far!

I really like the events held by SCI Germany, I feel the responsibility with which they create such projects, that during the seminar you begin to feel like a big family with all participants, make new friends and also gain new knowledge and experience in very interesting ways,  using non-formal education methods.

The result of this seminar will be working materials, the creation of which was done by all participants.

P.S. I must admit that participation in this training was very pleasant, comfortable and super informative for me. With love from Russia.

You can still join!
