Create Peace Microgrants
This year, SCI is running the project Create Peace: Youth Artivism for Climate Justice, supported by the European Youth Foundation of the Council of Europe.
Its aim is to support climate justice activism, together with SCI’s Climate team.
Part of this project is distributing microgrants to young people who are organising climate-related volunteer camps in their local realities. In total, we are supporting 10 actions across 3 continents, you can find more info below!
Inclusive Sanitation in Urban Natural Reserve

This activity was a camp during which volunteers helped build an accessible bio-bathroom in Bosque Urbano Reserve for people with reduced mobility, making this green space more accessible.

Ecosystem Restoration and Living Earth Exchange

This project, coordinated by Zimbabwe Workcamps Association (ZWA), brought together local and regional volunteers to support ecosystem restoration and environmental conservation in Bulawayo. Volunteers worked alongside the local community to remove invasive vegetation, construct small check dams and drainage systems, restore natural water flow, and improve biodiversity within the conservancy.
