Create Peace: Youth Artivism for Climate Justice
PROJECT DURATION
February-December 2026

The background
Create Peace: Youth Artivism for Climate Justice is a project coordinated by SCIās Climate Team. It is a group of young members from various SCI organisations, focusing on advancing climate justice within the SCI network and globally. Acting as SCIās hub for youth climate action, the team is committed to promoting a sustainable and equitable future.

Create Peace responds to two urgent realities for young people: the accelerating climate crisis and the rise of militarisation. This project combines climate justice and antimilitarism in practice through creative communication tools, embodied activism and a renewal of SCI’s century-old volunteer camp model.
In 2026, Create Peace will support young people in becoming active agents of climate justice and peace with 2 international activities and 10 climate-focused camps across the Council of Europe region (and beyond). The project will combine arts and activism through theatre and motion storytelling, short film creation, and hands-on volunteer work.
