One word: AMAZING

I’m Violette, I’m 26 years old and I come from Belgium ??

I joined the SCI workcamp in Malaysia in Chesire House from the 4th till the 15th of August 2023.

I had an incredible time, and I learned so many things about Malaysian culture ??

The country is very interesting, so many different people living together, so much diversity of food (and so spicy ??), a beautiful and peaceful landscape ?, a lot of monkeys everywhere ?

I enjoyed to experience two different places as well, in Kuala Lumpur and in Penang. We had social and manual work, which was a good opportunity for Victoriia and I to chat with the locals and learn about their life in Malaysia.

We met incredible people which were so nice with us, they always wanted to share, making us try new things and making sure we were ok ?

They really made us feel as if we were part of their family. I wish to all volunteers to feel as included as we were during any workcamp they would join anywhere around the world ?

The local volunteers drove us to so many places so that we could appreciate the country as much as possible ?

A big thank you to Stephen who took care of us and a big thank you to all the local volunteers that made this experience so unique and extraordinary! ?

You all are welcomed to Belgium at any time and I hope you to have an amazing time in my country like I did in yours ?

With lots of kindness and love,

Violette❤

You can still join!
