Call for Volunteers: European Solidarity Corps at SCI Austria

Make an Impact with Youth and Inclusion in Vienna!

From May to October 2026 you can participate as a long-term volunteer with SCI Austria in Vienna. This international volunteering project combines office work, community activities, and non-formal education methods to help young people engage in solidarity, inclusion, and active citizenship.

As a volunteer, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Gain insight into the work of a grassroots NGO and international volunteering projects
  • Support inclusive youth seminars and workcamps on topics like interculturality, non-violent communication, and social justice
  • Contribute to awareness-raising activities in the community, including schools, social hubs, and nature conservation initiatives
  • Assist in developing creative communication strategies, including social media content
  • Participate in planning, reflection, and feedback processes to strengthen SCI Austria’s Inclusion and Diversity policies

The volunteering experience is tailored to your interests and skills, offering meaningful engagement, personal growth, and non-formal learning. You will also have the chance to take initiative, develop your own projects, and become part of a dynamic, international community committed to solidarity and social change.

Volunteer Profile:
No prior experience is required, motivation, openness, and willingness to learn are what matter most. Communication and teamwork skills, curiosity about social issues, and an interest in peace, volunteering, and inclusion are advantageous. The project is open exclusively to young people with fewer opportunities (e.g., disabilities, migration background) aged 18–30 residing in an ESC Programme or Partner Country.
