Two opportunities for designers
For two current projects we are looking for designers who can complete the work by mid-November 2025. Applications by 26 October 2025.
The context
The “Peace Activism Campaign” of SCI is an external campaign that will launch at the end of the year and develop in 2026, with both online and offline elements.
The campaign aims at promoting active engagement to tackle real-world challenges and build peace, attracting young people in particular and connecting them to a larger framework of causes they care about. The main topic is nonviolence as an active, courageous and creative practice of resistance to injustice. The message must inspire action, moving beyond passive peace or inner reflection toward creative, collective, and social justice-oriented activism.
The design project
In order to have a consistent visual identity for the communication of the campaign and its actions, we are looking for a designer to support us in this endeavour.
Ideally, the person is familiar with how campaigns work and has skills in graphic design and illustration so they can support with the following tasks:
- Define the visual identity elements of the campaign and create a reference manual (logo/icon/illustration, colours, fonts, …);
- Design templates for online visibility of the campaign’s topics and actions, adapted for different platforms (different social media formats, website and newsletter);
- Design templates for offline material during events.
We want the design to match the tone of the campaign, which should be:
- Active and empowering, encouraging people to take action for peace rather than observe it passively.
- Bold and expressive, showing courage, urgency, and conviction in standing up for peace and justice.
- Hopeful and collective, highlighting that peace is possible through shared effort and community engagement.
- Creative and youthful, using fresh, artistic, and participatory approaches that appeal to young audiences.
Who you are
Ideally, we are looking for a professional who:
- Has experience with graphic design / illustration
- Is interested in working for a peace NGO and is familiar with campaigns
- Is creative, well organised and independent
- Adopts a proactive attitude in integrating the received feedback
- Can complete the work by mid-November 2025
- Is willing to leave behind editable templates in case we need to adapt them in the future (e.g. new social media formats)
- Can issue an invoice for the work completed
What we offer
- Compensation up to 1500€ depending on the number of templates delivered.
- Space for your own initiative and ideas, as well as collaboration and support when needed.
The context
Since 2023 SCI has been collecting data on the impact of its volunteer camps and creating a report for the public. The Impact Report of 2024 will be the second one we publish, and we want to improve its layout, data visualisation and storytelling compared to the previous year. For this, we are looking for an experienced designer to help us best visualise and communicate our research findings.
The design project
The project is the layout of our Impact Report 2024; the text and data is provided, but the layout of the report and the data visualisation is up to the designer, in dialogue with the Communication Coordinator. There will be two reports, one for the public, and one for internal use, but the design will be the same, only one report will have some additional information than the other.
Ideally, the person is familiar with data visualisation and storytelling and has skills in graphic design and illustration so they can support with the following tasks:
- design the layout of the report, for print and web;
- design graphic elements that support data visualisation and storytelling;
- create promotional designs for social media.
