Wikipedia for peace
Workcamp
Written by Thomas from Switzerland
Our first physical Wikipedia for Peace camp since COVID-19 is taking place!⠀⠀
Volunteers from Switzerland, Germany and Italy are creating, editing and translating Wikipedia articles around #ClimateJustice at the socioecological center Décéntrale in Mont Soleil. So far we added new information for example about wildfires in Sardinia, African climate justice activists and climate politics in Austria and Palestine.⠀
“Our camp “Wikipedia for Peace” on climate justice ended on Friday with a bonfire full of discussions of how we could make the world better. We are super proud of what our participants achieved: 33 new or improved articles in German, English, French and Italian!? They added information about for example the world’s most polluting coal power plants, an initiative to make Berlin car-free and the legal battle of a village in South India against Coca Cola. Thank you to Wikimedia Switzerland and Décéntrale for the great cooperation for many years already and of course a big thank you to our great participants!
Looking forward to the next Wikipedia camps already!?
You can still join!
