Unlimited Youth is an association which works in the Palestinian Refugee Camp of Shatila in Beirut, Lebanon. It hosts over 70 members, consisting of boys and girls of different ages.
The aim of the association is bringing the younger generation together in order to build ties between the various communities of the camp. They believe in the power of sport for a positive change in society as it is one of the powerful tools able to build bridges for cohesion, cooperation and peace.
In 2018, their center was established under the name of “Shatila Community Sports Center” to do its own activities in Shatila for boys and girls.The idea of having a Center has the aim of establishing a base, from where activities can be carried out, and at the same time it can be a place of reference for the community.
The center is intended as a self-managed and secure space that can serve as a base for the local sport teams and for activities for the community where the Center lives and interacts.
Within the Youth Center, different types of activities related to education, leisure and sports are carried out; so the main objective of the activity – an international volunteering workcamp – is to support the activities of Shatila Youth Center: Basketball Training, Boxing Training, English Lessons, Art and Drawing Classes, playful activities.
