The Living Library is an event that provides a space for dialogue and exchange and is about breaking down stereotypes, builds understanding and reducing prejudice by sharing experiences on a personal level.

“Global justice starts here” Placement Officers Training 2020 was organized for the SCI Placement Officers in Winterthur, Switzerland, from the 10th till 16th of February 2020.

Last Friday on 14th February the long term volunteer from SCI Germany office made a short visit to the project partner in Tübingen in order to say ‘Thank you!’ and conduct small interview with the people engaged in this incredible workcamp.

Volunteers from SCI Switzerland organize theatre evenings for children from families seeking asylum and for children from Switzerland once a month at the transition centre Schweizerisches Rotes Kreuz (SRK) in Bern-Länggasse.

On the 13th of December, GAIA Kosovo organized a Climate Action Day. There were multiple activities, some to inform, some to take action and some to have fun.

UMOJA-ENOSI is the first Pan-African football team in Greece consisting of 20 players from 9 different African countries living in Greece either as asylum seekers, refugees, migrants or being second generation.

The project «DIY Balcony Garden» took place in Ljubljana at the Voluntariat office and at an idyllic community garden in Litija.

On 5th of January, members of SCI Malaysia had an interactive, informative, interesting and helpful Workshop for Strategic Plan 2020 and beyond and ensuring it aligns to SCI Global Vision, Mission, Objectives and Practices.

SCI’s partners Vlahi Nature School Bulgaria and Velebit Association Kuterevo present you the publication “Mountain spirit volunteers recommend: How to be better in volunteering for nature conservation?” designed by Izabela Markova.

We are excited to announce that the European Youth Foundation of the Council of Europe approved SCI’s Work Plan for 2020, called Peace in Practice: supporting young people to become peace envoys.

The first event fully organised by the team of the ESC volunteers at CVS-Bulgaria office happened on 23rd of November.

The SCI Switzerland organized a Living Library on 19th November in Bern.

In the middle of October, CVS-Bulgaria teamed up with three more local organisations and created an event to talk about  community development.

This year, SCI Exchange Platform Meeting took place in Albania, hosted by our local branch PVN Albania.
